WHERE WE LIVE - MORAY, SCOTLAND
We used to live in the High Street of Fochabers but moved to Bogmoor
(a small village 3 miles away towards the sea - photographs of that will be published later).
Living in the North East of Scotland twixt coast and hills we are surrounded by nature in all its beauty. Here are some favourite photographs which I will try to change regularly though some may remain for a long time. I hope that they will encourage you to get out and about in our area and enjoy what God has provided for our work, rest and peace. The people are rather wonderful too.
FOCHABERS
Fochabers from 'the other side of the river' but well hidden by trees (will take this in the winter to see more of the village).
Only the steeple of the Bellie Kirk can be seen (the CofS church that Lynne attends).

Fochabers taken from the viewpoint in 'The Winding Walks' on the hill above the village.
The High Street is the A96 which runs through Aberdeen & Inverness.

Fochabers taken from the viewpoint again but showing the Bellie Kirk tower and rooftops.
The village cricket pitch can be seen beyond the Kirk.
The golden fields seen at the top of the picture are actually on the other side of the river (hidden) from where I took the first image.

OUR HOME & GARDEN
Our bungalow taken from the roof of our neighbour opposite
(balanced on his roof my hand was rather shaky).
Then other views of the house (helps to find us).

Lynne and Irene discuss how to put the greenhouse together
(after Jeff tried but managed to build part of it upside down!)

Lynne working in the garden on the vegetable plot and weeding the borders.

Water Feature
(built for Lynne's 60th birthday)
To represent the running water on the hills in Scotland
(it should bed down and 'weather' in time and more plants will be added)
Jeff with pickaxe fighting the rocky ground - back to Sappering!

The Wee Monk
Our garden supervisor!
(St Fiacre, patron saint of Gardeners)

Having a raised flower bed by the septic tank caused earth etc to cover the entrance to it so I have built a sort of 'amphitheatre' of blocks around it to keep the earth back.
Plants will eventually cover the blocks and make it look more 'green'.
