OUR BUSINESSES
My wife Lynne and I started in business in 1981 when we opened our Coffee and Crafts Shop in Fochabers. I was still serving in the army (Royal Engineers) and commuted from Edinburgh to Fochabers at weekends and holidays. In 1982 I started Picture Framing which proved so successful that I had to move to bigger premises and so bought an old school at Bogmoor as a workshop, gallery and retail outlet and a shop in Elgin. We sold the Coffee Shop to concentrate on framing and art. In July 2007 we retired and the workshop was sold. We are retaining the retail shop in Elgin to let out (currently to a Photographer & Fine Art Printer).
'The Gallery' Coffee & Craft Shop
Our first business where we 'lived above the shop'. My daughter Nicola is in the second photo (taking a year out from Uni..). Lynne is in the bottom two photo's, the images being towards the front and the back of the shop.
