LYNNE'S CHURCH
BELLIE KIRK - CHURCH OF SCOTLAND
Note: Some of these photographs are old and I will shortly take up to date ones.
The Bellie Kirk is shortly to have a 're-order' involving extensive structural and cosmetic changes in the church
and so I may keep these on the site to show the 'before and after' affect.
When we arrived in Fochabers in 1981 we were invited by the then Minister (Revd Alex McCauley, to join the Kirk and he also managed to persuade Jeff to play the organ there.
Lynne is still a member of the Bellie Kirk and Jeff is an Adherent and attends when he can and his other duties allow -
thus we are ecumenical, supporting each other and our churches.
There is a wonderful community spirit in this church.

The Pulpit in Bellie Kirk
Preaching the Word is of Prime Importance in The Kirk
The Communion Table is flanked by the lectern and font.
Note that the entrance doors are either side of the pulpit so that members have to walk in under the gaze of the congregation (being late is very noticeable!!).
It doesn't leave much of a distance to walk in procession for a bride etc. This will change when the re-order is carried out next year.

View of the balcony on the right facing the pulpit, the side entrance to the Boardroom and the Hall can be seen.

View of the balcony on the left facing the pulpit.

View to the back of the church showing the organ and choir stalls. The stained glass is partly hidden by the organ (see below for new images)
This has changed, the organ has been replaced by an Allan Digital Organ which will eventually be sited I think on the balcony to the right.
The old organ position will be filled by the pulpit (possibly reduced in height).

BELLIE KIRK STAINED GLASS WINDOWS
The stained glass windows can now be seen - the organ was removed in the first part of the 're-order'.
